Membuka folder-folder lama di komputer. Saya menemukan sebuah folder yang isinya adalah back-up data-data saya di ponsel beberapa tahun yang lalu. Mungkin 1-2 tahun. Ternyata isinya didominasi oleh lagu-lagu dari grup-grup metal. Hahaha. Mungkin karena saat kelas 2 SMA, saya berada dalam posisi paling aman. Sudah cukup menyesuaikan diri dengan sekolah, sudah punya adik kelas, dan belum memikirkan ujian nasional seperti saat kelas 3. Kuping saya haus akan bunyi-bunyian yang meledak-ledak. Kalau sekarang lebih condong ke melow melow galau. Hehehe. Di dalam playlist itu di antaranya ada Paramore, 30 Seconds to Mars, Good Charlotte, Incubus, BLG, Simple Plan, dkk. Entah saya dapat referensi dari mana. Tapi kalau 30 Seconds to Mars dan Incubus, ada ceritanya dan akan saya ceritakan di sini. Ada yang bilang "kamu akan menyukai apa yang disukai oleh orang yang kamu sukai", halah, gimana ya pokoknya gitu lah. 

30 Seconds to Mars

Kelas 2 SMA boleh dibilang puncak kegemaran saya terhadap bassis GIGI, Thomas Ramdhan. Di salah satu wallpaper dan foto yang saya temukan, ada bapak samoth sedang menyandang bass sambil mengenakan kaos 30 Seconds to Mars.

Mungkin ini diambil sekitar tahun 2005 karena bapak masih imut-imut dan masih suka pakai handband. Tulisan ini cukup menonjol dan saya juga sempat melihatnya di beberapa video GIGI saat manggung. Sering dipake ini baju. Penasaran, browsiiiing, dan ketemu ternyata 30 Seconds to Mars ini adalah grup musik dari LA Amerika, bergenre rock, grunge, metal, dan yang sejenisnya. Intinya musik mereka keras-keras. Saya banyak simpen lagu-lagu mereka, dan setelah saya dengarkan ternyata memang benar, keras tapi asik, hahaha. Ada beberapa lagu yang jadi favorit saya saat itu, The Kill, Attack, Kings and Queens dll. Saya jadi suka sama musik-musik seperti itu. Ada satu lagu yang sangat saya cintai dan saya banggakan, halah. Judulnya This is War. Ini lagu selalu saya puter setiap belajar Matematika, PKN, dan hal-hal sulit lainnya, hahaha. Entah kenapa, ada spirit tersendiri yang muncul kalau saya dengerin lagu ini. Dan saya tidak merasa terganggu sama sekali meskipun sedang menghafal LKS PKN yang wujudnya seperti surat kabar atau sedang menghitung angka-angka sial yang tidak kunjung ketemu jawabannya. Mungkin karena liriknya yang cukup mendongkrak semangat.

Yang saya pikrkan saat pertama melihat Jared Leto (vokalis 30 Seconds to Mars) adalah aneh dan menyeramkan. Dandanannya mengarah ke vampire -,-". Iris mata berwarna putih, kelopak gelap, pakaian serba hitam, rambut panjang nanggung dan ada bagian yang dicat merah. Serem lah pokoknya. Huehe. Tapi ternyata eh ternyata, vokalis idola saya, Armand Maulana pernah menjadikan penampilan Jared sebagai inspirasinya, terutama bagian rambut, huhuhuw. Pantesan saya kaya pernah liat, tapi di manaaaa. Ternyata Armand mengaku meniru gaya rambut Jared saat GIGI mengeluarkan album Peace, Love 'n Respect. Dan saya tidak sukaaaaa, huehehehe. Aneh dan Armand terlihat seperti abis nyalon tapi gagal. Karena bentuknya hampir nge-bob tapi nanggung dan hampir lurus tapi juga nanggung. Kekekeke. Pis kang. Actually I love your style but not in that time.

Tapi tidak selamanya Jared Leto tampil dengan dandanan vampire nya. Ada kalanya Jared terlihat ganteng dan unyuuuu. Saya kemudian tau kalau Jared juga seorang aktor yang sudah cukup lama berkiprah di dunia perfilman. Ada piku-piku yang menunjukkan kalau Jared juga punya sisi ganteng, cool, plus macho :*

Aaaah, jadi tambah cinta, wuahahaha.

Incubus

Saat itu saya sedang gencar-gencarnya ngumpulin foto-foto Armand dari jaman bayi sampe tuwek kaya sekarang. Secara tidak sengaja ketemu sama foto yang disitu Armand memakai baju bertuliskan "Incubus". Awalnya saya tidak begitu mempedulikan tulisan ini, namanya baju ya, biasa dong ada tulisan-tulisan kaya merk atau apa. Lagian tulisannya nggak menonjol kaya punya bapak samoth. Kalo di baju nempel uang ratusan ribu barulah saya akan memperhatikan, hehe.

Tapi kemudian saya melihat salah satu foto di album fesbuk Armand (kalau tidak salah), dia bersama Adrie Subono salah satu promotor musik yang selalu mendatangkan artis-artis kelas dunia ke Indonesia. Mereka menemui Incubus. 

Dari situ saya tau kalau Armand penyuka Incubus. Atau sebuat saja Incunesia (fan base Incubus di Indonesia). Karena penasaran "kaya apa sih Incubus itu", saya banyak browsing, download-download, nonton VC mereka. Dan pada akhirnya ikut-ikutan suka, hahaha, latah ni yee. Banyak lagu-lagu mereka yang saya masukin di playlist ponsel, dan hampir setiap hari saya puter. Untunglah Incubus nggak sekeras 30S2M. Musik Incubus sulit dikategorikan. Setelah mendengarkan beberapa lagu mereka seperti Megalomaniac, Anna Molly, Dig, dll, menurut saya mereka unique.. Lagu yang pertama kali saya denger dan langsung jatuh cinta berjudul "Drive". Denger-denger ada salah satu grup band Indo yang nyontek intro lagu ini, hehehehe. No mention.

Band asal California AS ini sudah 2 kali datang ke Indonesia. Tahun 2008, dan terakhir 26 Juli 2011 kemarin. Incunesia tetep setia sama band yang dipimpin oleh Brandon Boyd ini. Bahkan Brandon bilang kalau antusiasme masyarakat Indonesia sangat spektakuler sampai-sampai mereka susah bermain karena suara nyanyian penonton terlalu keras. Huahaha. Incubus memang sudah bangkotan, kekekeke. Mereka berdiri sejak 1991, dan tetep eksis sampai sekarang. Tapi album mereka baru 7, masih kalah sama huntu band yang debut tahun 1994 dan sekarang sudah 20 lebih album yang dirilis, huehehe. Tapi om Brandon tetep ganteng meskipun udah berumur :) Di VC Drive om Brandon juga seksi, hahaha.

Itu dia cerita saya yang terinfluence 30S2M dan Incubus karena tingkah Armand Maulana dan Thomas Ramdhan. Terpengaruh dan mempengaruhi adalah hal yang biasa dalam hidup kan, hehehehe.

Saya sempat sangat mengagumi mereka, dan sebenarnya sekarang saya merindukan lagu-lagu mereka untuk hadir mendominasi playlist di ponsel saya lagi, tapi apa boleh buat, memorinya terlalu penuuuuh >,<
